Tally tracks all stock movement and gives you instant stock reports for
each item.
Tally has a comprehensive yet simple to use Inventory system. All
movements of material are tracked. A single Purchase entry updates
inventory as well as Payables. In the same way a single Sales entry
updates stock as well as Receivables.
What's more, you can alter the information displayed on each screen so
that you choose what information is displayed.
You can instantly get detailed movement for each stock item as shown
below :
Want to know how much you have earned on each item ? Tally gives you
instant access to item wise profitability
Management of inventories is now easier with the new Reorder Level
capabilities built into Tally. You can set reorder levels not only in
absolute terms, but even on the basis of your past consumption
Getting up-to-date information on the available stock, the purchase order
pending and the orders to be placed becomes so simple with Tally.
Tally tracks the age of each stock item. You can age items based on
multiple criteria like expiry date, purchase date etc.
The age wise stock report can be generated on user definable periods
Flexibility being one of the hallmarks for Tally, you can anytime
choose to 'link' or 'delink' your accounts from your inventories - with
just one key-press.
Tally allows you a three way matching of purchase / sale documents viz
:
Purchase Order -> Goods Receipt Note -> Purchase Bill , or
Sales Order -> Delivery Challan -> Sales Invoice.
To explain further, when a GRN (Goods Receipt Note) is input, Tally
displays all pending Purchase Order for than party and helps you match the
same. In the same way, while entering a Purchase bill, Tally again
displays all pending GRN's for that supplier, so that you can match the
documents. Finally, Tally can provide you with a list of goods received
for which purchase bills have not been received or goods delivered for
which invoices have not been raised. That's called inventory control !
